I’m Kobie Crawford, a husband, father, and musician. I grew up singing — in church, in school choirs, in bands, in musical theater, on the street, at parties, in the shower, everywhere. I’ve played multiple instruments, including piano, guitar, bass guitar, and drums.

Over my life, I have learned something that most people have forgotten: It’s not enough to just listen to music. Music is not just a product to consume. You have to play. You have to dance. You have to sing. Perhaps you’ve heard someone describe a particular song or piece as “music that touches the soul.” The name Almatoca builds on this idea. When your soul plays music, your soul can touch someone else’s.

Almatoca is where people can connect to start playing music together again, like we always have but maybe have forgotten. We’re building a community with music.
